Journey Across the Snowy Plateau: Hanin Brings Photography Education Programs to Children in Qamdo
June 18, 2026

From supporting education initiatives in the border regions of Yunnan to working with the Xiamen Women's Federation to support migrant children and their families, this marks the 7th year of Hanin's commitment to children's public welfare.
For children, what is the truly "unforgettable" gift? In search of the answer, Hanin brought instant cameras and photo printers into remote mountainous schools in Qamdo, Tibet.

One classroom, one photograph, one gift
Following the "Supermodel Aesthetic Education Charity Program," 49 aesthetic education practitioners from across China traveled from Lijiang, Yunnan. Carrying more than 20 tons of educational and daily supplies across mountains and valleys, they finally reached Lhasa, Tibet.

Covering over 4,000 kilometers and traversing the Hengduan Mountains and the Three Parallel Rivers region, the team entered Mangkang County and Zuogong County in Qamdo.
They delivered donated supplies to nine remote rural primary schools and introduced a wide range of aesthetic education programs in seven of them, including etiquette and modeling, fine arts, dance, aviation modeling, hairstyling, photography, and handicrafts.

On the vast snowy plateau, children's curiosity has never been constrained by altitude.
Etiquette and modeling classes allowed children to closely experience traditional customs and clothing aesthetics, cultivating confidence and presence through posture and movement. In art classes, brushes and pigments came together as children expressed their affection for the snow-capped mountains and grasslands of their hometown, capturing cultural depth through color and form.

Aviation modeling classes guided children to explore the mysteries of the sky; martial arts sessions echoed with clear shouts and disciplined rhythm; dance classes were filled with lively music. In photography sessions, Hanin instant cameras captured the children's bright and genuine smiles.

Accompanying mentors joined the children in DIY crafts, storytelling, and shared moments of joy—filling every corner with warmth and laughter.
These programs broadened the children's horizons and gently opened emotional barriers. Children who once stood quietly at the edge of the classroom now stepped confidently onto the stage. The seeds of arts education have taken root on the plateau, illuminating dreams in remote mountainous childhoods.

And these beautiful moments were also captured by Hanin instant cameras, becoming tangible photographs that preserve fleeting joy in a lasting form.
When the children received their photos, they held them carefully and looked at them again and again, their eyes shining. Sometimes it was a moment of pride on stage; sometimes it was an ordinary scene of daily life.
Yet regardless of the moment captured, for children in remote mountain areas who rarely have access to photography, each photo became a deeply meaningful and precious gift.

02 Journeying Across Mountains and Rivers, Staying True to Care
Giving every child a childhood they can hold in their hands
For many people, photo printers are tools that enhance personal memories and preserve life's meaningful moments.
But in classrooms on the plateau, they become a bridge connecting children with confidence, memory, and emotion.

We hope that with Hanin's support, every child can preserve their own happiness and record a childhood they can truly hold in their hands.
"Uniting strength and sowing hope" has always been at the heart of Hanin's corporate social responsibility. Over the years, Hanin has actively engaged in public welfare initiatives, integrating technological innovation with human care, and continuously carrying out programs that enable more children to experience technology and explore the future.
Hanin's commitment to children in remote regions will not stop. For us, this is a long-term mission—one that deserves continuous care and sustained support.
So that their childhood is not only filled with running across open landscapes, but also with gentle moments that can be preserved and cherished.

So that years later, children in these regions can open a drawer and find a faded photograph—
remembering an afternoon of painting, a unique runway show, and the moment someone traveled far to turn their happiness into something tangible.

Because a truly unforgettable childhood does not require expensive gifts.
It only needs one thing:
moments of light that will never be forgotten.
